Simple Change

This last week I've been noticing something.

While meandering around the city of Chicago
with some of my friends we decided that we would
try to make every person we saw smile. For some
reason despite the fact that we were nicely dressed
american youth, most people we attempted to communicate
with ignored us or avoided contact.

Imagine this:
Not being afraid to look in the direction of a stranger. Smiling at the people around you no matter who they are or what they look like. A world where you wave at the person driving next to you just because they look like they may pass out because of traffic boredom.

This is the world we live in. This is what
the previous generation has bread.
If this is what we are now,
what kind of world are we creating for future generations?
